EZ SHEPHERD’S PIE approx: 10 servings 5 LB Ground Beef; 2 TBSP Oil; 2 medium Onions-diced (or 2 TBSP dry Onion Flakes); Salt/Pepper to taste; 1 large box Idaho Spuds brand Instant Potato Flakes; 2 bags of frozen Peas & Carrots; 2 cups of Water(vegetables); 2 cans/jars of Brown Gravy In a large skillet, brown ground beef and the diced onions. When meat is browned, add the brown gravy. Bring the meat mixture to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 2 minutes stirring constantly. Take the meat and gravy mix off the heat. Prepare potatoes according to the box directions (10 serving directions). In a large pot, with 2 cups of water, place the peas and carrots. Bring the water to a boil and reduce the heat. Cook the vegetables for 7-10 minutes. In the large section of the tray, place a layer of meat . On top of the meat place a layer of mashed potatoes. Vegetables may be served on the side. |
