MEAT PATTIES AND BROWN GRAVY approx: 10 servings 5 LB Ground Beef; 2 TBSP Dry Onion Flakes (or 2 Medium Onions-diced); ¾ cup Breadcrumbs; 3 Eggs; 2 cans(or jars) Brown Gravy; 1 large box Idaho Spuds-Instant Potato; Salt/Pepper to taste; 1 cup Water (gravy); 2 bags of Peas & Carrots; 2 cups Water(peas & carrots) In a large bowl mix: Ground Beef, Onion Flakes, Breadcrumbs, and eggs. When the meat is mixed thoroughly, form into patties. Brown the patties in a skillet. Remove patties from skillet and place meat on a dish. Pour off grease. Place 1 cup of water in skillet and return to heat. Pour the 2 cans/jars of gravy into the skillet and stir the water and gravy together to get the taste of the drippings from the meat. Bring the gravy mixture to a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for 2 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes when cooking is finished. Prepare mashed potatoes according to directions on box (10 serving directions). Place 2 cups of water in a large pan, and add 2 bags of peas & carrots. Bring water to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes. |
