Office Staff/Warehouse Volunteers

Office workers could serve as receptionists (answer telephones and greet visitors), or work with computers or perform various clerical tasks as needed, under the direction of a staff person.

Warehouse workers are needed to stock walk-in freezers with home cooked,  frozen dinners as they are brought to  Aid For Friends, or move frozen meals or any other food products or supplies from one location to another within    the building; supervised by the Warehouse Manager.

Straightening and cleaning of the warehouse by volunteers would also be a great help.

What is your Volunteer Service worth???

The monetary value of your donated home cooked dinners, soups, breakfast bags - and your valuable time...may be immeasurable, and we are so grateful for your sacrifices.  However, most importantly, the Intrinsic Value of your service to the needy, lonely shut-ins, your compassion, empathy, concern, is incalculable because your efforts lift the spirits and warm the hearts of people who otherwise would have been Forgotten...the Hidden Hungry.  You have enhanced the quality of the shut-ins lives' - the lives of the disabled and frail elderly who are viewed by much of society with indifference.

When you volunteer, donate, serve...your life does make a difference!
