CAN YOU HELP?

COLLECT NON-PERISHABLE FOODS in your neighborhood

Make up fliers to put in your neighbors doors, asking them for canned and boxed food items that would be appropriate for use in making dinners. Give them a date when you will return to collect these foods and tell them it will be used to prepare home cooked meals for the Aid For Friends’ mission to the frail elderly and disabled homebound in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.  These shut-ins receive seven frozen dinners weekly, completely FREE of charge.

Ensure or Boost, Incontinent Pads, and Depends (adult diapers).

Also because our gift room is open all year long, for those shut-ins with  birthdays, we are looking for clothing (tee-shirts for men, blouses, tops and nightgowns or housecoats for women)
